Party in the park at Queens Park

DCIL Members meet the Mayor

On Friday 5th August 2011, Disability Derbyshire, held an information stall at Queens Park in Chesterfield. It was a lovely warm sunny day and 62 stalls were present and there was a fantastic turnout from the general public. £885.60p was raised + a £250 donation from Rolls Royce to be passed on to Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospital . The event was organised by Tracy Shepherd from Action Housing. Office volunteers, Michele Pirosso, Lynn Truman, Peter and Lisa Jackson and Kevin Jackson were supported by Deborah Whitton-publicist with running the stall. Disability Derbyshire is an organisation run by a disabled people's council for disabled people and we promote independent living for disabled people.
