Congratulations and Celebrations!

First of all, to the 12 volunters who between them achieved 30 passes in a variety of IT based Open College Network units. The work they covered included an introduction to creating and using a spreadsheet, how to create and improve word processed documents and how to create and design publications such as newsletter items. The volunteers completed the work at both the Ripley and Shirebrook UK Online Centres during the first half of 2010 and funding from Awards for All supported this project.

ALSO, congratulations to two members of staff and one trustee of DCIL who have achieved the Ncfe level 2 qualification in Equity and Diversity. This was attained via distance learning throughout the first few months of 2010.
