DDCIL is still open for business, despite the threat of impending budget cuts
Our doors are still open, and it’s business as usual for our services while we go through the Derbyshire County Council consultation process and prepare for any budget cuts coming our way.
The Direct Payment and Support Planning Team are as busy as ever, helping Derbyshire County Council Direct Payment recipients to calculate the most effective use of their budgets and offering support and advice on all aspects of employing and recruiting personal staff, including finding managed bank and payroll services.
The Counselling and Advocacy Teams are also making best use of their times, offering peer counselling and support, advocacy in many varied situations, and coordinating the volunteer led Depression and Anxiety Support Group.
The Volunteer Coordinator meanwhile is supporting disabled people to find volunteer opportunities to play a full role in the community.
We are all fully committed to providing quality services throughout Derbyshire, and will not even let the grim July weather dampen our spirits!
Our social enterprise, PAN (The People’s Ability Network), continues to support us with a fully accessible taxi service, and managed bank and payroll services.
