Funding Cuts to DDCIL – DCC Consultation

The Derbyshire ChallengeDerbyshire County Council is going to be making huge cuts across the voluntary and community sector.

This will mean the end of a lot of important front line services and could include all of DDCIL’s current services. The council is currently running a consultation on the potential impact of these cuts.

For DDCIL this could mean the end of our Counselling, Advocacy, Volunteering and Direct Payments and Support Planning departments.

These services are provided directly to disabled people and their families by teams with vast knowledge and personal experience of disability. We have a 30 year history of disabled people championing disabled people. We’re proudly a User Led Organisation.

If you’re a current or former service user, volunteer, trustee, staff member, or interested party for any other reason, please consider filling in the council’s “Consultation on proposals to cut grant funding” online form and let them know what the loss of DDCIL would mean to you.

If you would prefer to fill in the questionnaire by hand please get in touch with our office and we can to provide you with a physical copy.
